Lamb Burgers with Feta Mayo and Mint

  • Cook time:
    20 Minutes

Ingredients

2-1/2 Pound ground lamb
6 good-quality crusty hamburger rolls
5 Ounce feta cheese
1/2 Cup mayonnaise
1/3 Cup mint jelly

Preparation

  1. Preheat the barbecue to medium-low.
  2. Using your hands, gently mix lamb with salt and pepper to taste. Form into 6 patties (the patties may seem very generous, but the meat will shrink a lot during cooking). Place on the grill and cook until juices run clear, 5 to 6 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
  3. Slice the rolls and toast, cut-side down, on the grill just until slightly brown, 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, blend feta with mayonnaise. While meat is still warm, slather with feta mixture. Spread a generous amount of mint jelly on each toasted roll; place the burgers in the rolls and serve.

does anyone proof these recipes if you read it # 3&4 are the same and #5&6 are the same. plus I would add some lemon juice , grated onion and oregano to the lamb. just S&P sounds way to bland even with the toppings

i just laughed at this recipe,,,as the others said no proof reading,,that aside the one comment on the addition of spices etc i agree that lemon is good but not the oregano,as lamb has a distinct sweet flavor ,,lemon, salt and pepper is all that is needed myself the feta is too much ,,, so there we go ,,,every one to their own taste but i have to say that lamb burgers are are really good enjoy
