Dads if you want to pamper Mom on her day try this wonderful dish. If crab is not on the top of her list of favorite foods fill the mushroom with shredded pork or beef instead. To roast your pepper halves place them on a cookie sheet that has been greased with a little olive oil. Place them in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or until tender.
When heating the salad dressing in the skillet do not let it boil. Boiling the dressing will cause it to become too hot. When poured over the salad it will cook the fruit and lettuce causing them to wilt. It will also cause the dressing to separate. Canned watercress, drained may be used instead of fresh if you prefer.
These little wonders make great appetizers before the Valentine’s meal or can be used as the main course. 1/4 t salt and 1/4 t of pepper can be added to the sauce if you wish.
No buffet is complete without the appetizers. These shrimp will make the perfect opening to your Christmas dinner. Serve in the sauce with a slotted spoon and lemon slices on the side.
