Online Internship Opportunities

Editorial Internship
We have two internships running concurrently at all times.

• are interested in pursuing a well-rounded experience in all aspects of a website: producing content, online publishing, social networking, search engine optimization, information architecture, usability and more
• have graduated from online publishing programs, or are in their final years of their programs (Equivalent experience is also acceptable)
• have an understanding of web content as it relates to search engine optimization and a web audience
• are passionate about the web and are already plugged in to social networking in their daily lives
• have some experience or knowledge of the fact-checking process
• are personable, flexible and quick on their feet
• approach each task, no matter how important or menial, with the same dedication, enthusiasm and attention to detail

Duties include:

• fact-checking
• proofreading
• some content writing (articles, slideshows, recipes) as necessary
• helping plan the website content
• managing our Twitter account
• liaising with third party content providers
• general assistance

All internships are unpaid. We ask for a 9-to-5 commitment (with room for a bit of flexibility), Monday to Friday for a duration of three months.

This is not strictly a writing internship. We’re looking for candidates who are interested in gaining experience in most, if not all aspects, of an online publishing business.
